About Us- We are 6th graders at Tidwell Middle School.
South Sudan's Need For Water
We are working on a project to help a country in Africa called South Sudan. South Sudan is in dire need of clean water. The unclean water can be a breeding ground for deadly viruses. A lot of chlidren die because of the lack of clean drinking water. With the money you help us raise, WFSS can build more drills to help the children and people of South Sudan. We are raising $1,000 to help Water for South Sudan build a drilling machine called the "Iron Giraffe". The Iron Giraffe challenge of 2016 is hosted by WFSS. The Iron Giraffe challenge money raised will be sent to Water For South Sudan to build the "Iron Giraffes".
Salva Dut, the founder of Water For South Sudan, was born in the small village of Lounariik in Tonj county of South Sudan. After his long trip to a refugee camp in Ethopia, Salva settled in the refugee camp. Then, he escaped and went to Kenya. There he was chosen to go as a "Lost Boy" to the U.S. There is where he founded Water For South Sudan.
